Frame Damage - Stretton Sugwas Church

Stratford on Avon, Timber Frame Wall Sole Plate - eaten away by a combination of Wet Rot and Death Watch Beetle. Replaced in situ, without disturbing the walls, by installing new, treated oak facing boards, with Structural Epoxy Pouring Grout behind to form new, composite beam. This is hugely strong and impervious to moisture.

2. Fit a made to measure 'Timber-Resin Splice' unit.

3. Treat the parent timber with Boron Ultra Paste - £15.50/400cc, surface treat with Boron Ultra Gel.. Add Boron Ultra Rods of solid preservative for timbers likely to remain damp or subject to seasonal wetting (e.g. window frames, door posts, garden posts, wall plates)

Stair legs ready for re-connection to handrails

Swansea Church Clock Tower - the legs, made of Oak, had been eaten away by Wet Rot and Death Watch Beetle. New leg posts were manufactured, in seasoned Oak and fitted with Epoxy Coated High Tensile Steel Rebar to form TYPE D Timber-Resin Splice units. The parent timber was then slotted in-situ and the TRS units fitted, the resin being placed by injection through matching, permanent Oak 'shutters'. Boron Ultra 78 Paste and Boron Ultra Rods were then placed into pre-drilled holes in the parent legs, to prevent future decay.

School Buildings - hundreds have been rescued from the fate of uPVC window frames by repair and treatment with injected Boron Paste and Boron Rods. This process has been Agrement Certificated.

1. Cut out the decay

2. If a large, complex shape, form a frame using Epoxy Glass Bars (5mm diameter £3.00/metre) or Spirotie and bond them into the gap using fast setting Polyester Paste.

3. Place Moulding Mortar into the void and hand form. When nearly set carve to shape with a wet pallette knife. When fully hardened sand to open up the grain and stain or paint to match.

Doddiscombeleigh Church Barrel Vault Ceiling - one of the moulded arches was badly eaten out by Death Watch Beetle. The mid span area was missing. Flexible Epoxy Glass rods were used to form a new frame for the shape and Moulding Mortar was hand placed and carved to form the complex shape. The final surfaces were sanded and stained to match the original timber.

Christow Church - bell tower repairs

1. Cut out the decay in small sections, providing support, if necessary, as advised by a Structural Engineer.

2. Box the void with treated timber (if they are to remain as permanent shutters) or double waxed temporary boards (if they are to be removed) and seal all gaps with fast setting Polyester Paste

3. Fill the boxed voids with Structural Epoxy Pouring Grout

4. Remove or finish the facia boards to match the existing finishes.
